The Most Common Types of Restorative Dentistry |

If you have damaged or missing teeth, you do not have to suffer through it and its effects. Fortunately, in Scottsdale Dental Care we offer several restorative dentistry options:

These are the most common type of restorative dentistry. Most of us, if not all of us, has had a filling procedure. In this procedure, the dentist replaces a portion of the tooth that has been decayed by cavities with a solid material.

If you are missing one or more teeth, you need a bridge. In this case, false teeth take the place of the missing ones. Crowns on the adjacent teeth hold the bridge in place.

A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that the dentist places over a damaged, crack, or decayed tooth to restore its shape, functionality, and aesthetics.

Implants also replace a missing tooth. The root of the tooth is replaced by a screw placed on the jawbone. This anchors the implant in place without the need for crowns.

Dentures take the place of missing teeth. They can be partial if you are missing only a section of your teeth or full if you are missing all your teeth in your upper and/or lower jaw. Dentures are removable and help restore looks and functionality.
